Maplore makes open early-warning maps for India. Rain, heat and humidity change weeks before mosquito-borne disease or locust swarms do, so reading the weather carefully gives district health and agriculture teams time to act.

Two maps are live. Machhar (मच्छर, mosquito) reads the weather for dengue, malaria and chikungunya in every district of India. Tiddi (टिड्डी, locust) watches the desert in Rajasthan and Gujarat and the breeding areas upwind in Pakistan and Iran.

Both are free, use open data, and show how old every number is. Neither is an official government forecast.
